Studying Cultural Political History, my academic work centered around the way democratic societies deal with dissent; how democratic states react to threats of violent protests and terrorism while maintaining their legitimacy and rule of law; how pluralistic societies integrate or exclude their members and what this process means for a functional Democracy in the past, present and future.
Transcending my work analysing society’s history and development into the present, I strive for an active part in shaping this present and future, which is why I chose to leave the academic career path after completing my PhD.
I stayed true to my Alma Mater: Since 2020 I have been working towards more Gender Equity and Gender Justice within Academia at Humboldt University in Berlin. Together with the brilliant team at Humboldts Centre for Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging, we develop intersectional policies and measures to make the University a more inclusive place of work, teaching, learning and research for all.
I love reading and writing, music and dancing. I am a friend, daughter, sister, partner and mother.
